Headstart is a warm, welcoming and family-run nursery, proudly serving our local community since November 2003.

Founded by Sarah Abbott, Headstart has grown into a much-loved setting providing care, learning and exciting experiences for children from 12 weeks through to 11 years.

We believe that every child is unique. That's why we take the time to get to know each child, celebrating their individuality while helping them develop confidence, independence, curiosity and a love of learning.

⭐ Strong Ofsted findings – April 2026Our recent inspection recognised Strong standard in Achievement, Behaviour and Attitudes, and Curriculum and Teaching. Ofsted found that children make highly effective progress, are happy and settled, and develop strong communication, independence and positive attitudes to learning.

Open 51 weeks of the year

Monday – Friday – 7:30am – 7:00pm

We are open 51 weeks of the year, closing only for bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year.
